In a heartwarming initiative to infuse hope, imagination and superhero strength at Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital, Supertee, together with Bankstown Sports Group will donate 400 Supertee care packs to the pediatric department. Among these packs are specially-designed medical garments, cleverly disguised as superhero costumes, offering a cloak of comfort and bravery for sick children.

The Supertee is a medical garment crafted with little heroes in mind. The patented clothing and unique design features strategically placed velcro and press studs, allowing nurses, patients and parents to easily access drips and lines. The functional design also allows for quick changes, eliminating tangled lines and a more comfortable experience for sick children.

The idea of the Supertee stemmed from tradie dad, Jason Sotiris who experienced his own daughter fight and win her own battle with cancer. Sotris is now dedicated to bringing meaningful products and brightening the lives of sick children in hospitals.

The delivery of the Supertee packs to Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital was made possible thanks to the generous support of Bankstown Sports Group. United in their mission to bring people together and make a positive impact in the community, staff members dedicated their time packing the Supertee care packs and wrote heartfelt messages for young patients and their families.

Community and Wellbeing Advisor, Isabella Cini said Bankstown Sports Group felt immediately connected to Supertee after being introduced to the charity last year and expressed profound admiration for the work and genuine impact they bring to the lives of young patients.

“It was instantly clear after learning more about Supertee that this is so much more than just a “t-shirt”. Witnessing the genuine support and connection that the organisation has with those they support was incredibly empowering and inspiring.” Ms Cini said.

“Our staff who proudly packed these Supertee care packages experienced firsthand the transformative power and tangible impact these Supertees have on children and their families.”

“Bankstown Sports Group believes in the power of people and making a positive difference in the community, and our partnership with Supertee embodies this unwavering commitment.” Cini concludes.

After providing more than 10,000 Supertees, free of charge, to children in hospitals across Australia last year the charity is aiming to help even more children this year.

“The generosity of Bankstown Sports will help Supertee work towards our goal of donating 16,000 Supertees this year,” Mr Sotiris said."
