On Wednesday 22 November, Bankstown Sports Club sent two teams to the John Mackay Indoor Centre to compete in the annual Canterbury Bankstown Council Tug O’ War Cup, raising awareness and information on domestic and family violence in the local area.
The “Say No to DV” Cup brings together local businesses, organisations and schools in a fun and physical event that takes the time to highlight important information on Domestic Violence and how to have healthy relationships.
Bankstown Sports was valiant in competition, with both teams reaching the quarterfinals of the mixed division. In the quarterfinals, local rivalry and tension built to a Bankstown Sports vs. Bankstown Sports match, with “Team One” winning before losing out in a competitive Semi-Final.
