Football and netball reigned supreme with a lot of excitement and success at the recent Grand Finals held by the Bankstown City Netball Association and Bankstown District Amateur Football Association. Congratulations to our Bankstown Sports and Birrong Sports associated clubs for their impressive achievements! 

In the Football Grand Finals, a remarkable effort from our associated clubs who managed to secure a total of 11 premierships, especially with the added intensity of penalty shootouts and extra time battles across three venues. And in the netball matches at Deverall Park, the clubs put up a valiant fight, resulting in 4 championships across 7 teams. Making it to the Grand Finals is an accomplishment in itself, so kudos to all the teams involved! 

Bankstown Sports are proud to have partnered with Heartbeat of Football to conduct free heart health testing days at Padstow Park, during the Football Grand Finals. With the support of the proceeds from the World Cup Final held earlier in the year, the event successfully reached out to over 5,000 potential members and supporters, offering them blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar checks by qualified nurses. Players, referees, coaches, managers, and supporters all took part in the activation. These initiative’s not only shows the commitment to sports but also to the health and well-being of the community.
