Bankstown Sports Cycling Club continues to breed young champions, and three of their juniors showcased their skills recently in Dubbo at the 2024 AusCycling NSW State Track Championships. 

Peter Samuel, Markuss Ferraro and Valentino Huynh-McIntyre all donned the yellow and green kit to compete against riders across New South Wales in Sprint, Scratch and Time Trial races across the Under 11 and Under 13 age groups. 

All three competitors fought hard across their respective events with Markus achieving a 3rd in the Under 11 Sprint and Valentino earning a semi-final spot in the sprint and 8th overall in the Time Trial.  

Peter was the standout over the racing weekend clean sweeping the Sprint, Scratch and Time Trial Championships for the Under 13 Boys. With those three wins, Peter was awarded the Jackson Pascoe Memorial Trophy which commemorates the “Champion of Champions”, accumulating the most points across each of the three races
