Congratulations to Bankstown Sports athletes Isabella Thornton-Bott and Cameron Myers, who made history at the Australian Mile Championship earlier this month.
Hosted by Bankstown Sports Athletics Club at The Crest, Thornton-Bott – who is currently on a scholarship with the University of Oregon in the US - took out the women’s event just ahead of Bankstown Sports’ Jaylah Hancock-Cameron, before 16-year-old Myers won the men’s title.
It’s the first time two Bankstown Sports Athletics Club athletes have won the Albie Thomas Mile in both categories.
Well done to all athletes who competed on the night!
